Manufactured in the Traditional Victorian Way, Using Original Wallpaper Designs
The Revival ranges of wallpapers are manufactured in the same manner as those made during the 18th and 19th century. The manufacturing process utilises an original period surface print machine and printing rolls. The wallpaper is fed into the machine and the roller transfers the colour onto the paper which results in a gently textured wallpaper caused by the paper not being printed flat.

High Quality Print Five people are required in order to make the machine work and no more than 20 metres are printed per minute so there is a full control on the printing result to achieve a high quality wallpaper. High Quality Hand Mixed Colours Our range of wallpapers is still manufactured using distemper. It has a vegetable based biding agent, and therefore it is completely washable without the use of synthetic binding agents and top liners. All colours are handmade out of boiled cold-pressed linseed oil, water and cellulose starch. This reflects in the brilliance of the wallpapers. The linseed component makes the surface durable and wipe-able. The fillers and pigments are inorganic and not dependent on heavy metals, although these were used in the past (no arsenic, cadmium, cobalt, chrome, lead or zinc). The inorganic pigments make the colours fade resistant. |
Unbleached, Mainly Recycled High Quality Fibre The paper used is unbleached and a large extent of the paper is made from recycled fibre. |
