Important Information on Clean Burn Stoves
Clean burn stoves are designed to burn clean, dry, seasoned wood. You should not burn freshly felled wood, painted wood, or wood that has been treated with preservatives or other chemicals.
Detailed installation and user instructions are included with every stove. However, it is essential that all installations comply with the relevant Building Regulations, so Clean Burn Stoves should only be installed by a HETAS Registered Installer. It is important that, before any installation, a suitably qualified installer checks that the proposed site, location and conditions are appropriate for the appliance.
You must read the User Instructions supplied, before using your stove. All cast iron or steel stoves should undergo a conditioning or “burning in” period. The first firing should be with a very small fire, and subsequent firings should gradually increase the size of the firing each time. This will ensure a long and trouble free life for your stove.
